individual therapy sessions
At Sweet Orange Therapy Services, I provide virtual individual therapy sessions for clients in Colorado. My therapeutic style is client-centered, strength-based, somatic, and solution-focused.
My expertise and passion is working with women and birthing persons through the maternal periods: preconception, fertility challenges, pregnancy and infant loss, abortion, pregnancy, postpartum and the entire parenting journey, addressing anxiety, depression, trauma, perfectionism, identity and self-esteem while navigating relationships, parenting, household management, caregiving and careers. Learn about support here.
I also work with fathers/non-default parents in the postpartum and parenting phases addressing relationships, adjustment struggles to parenting life, depression and anxiety.
I additionally specialize in working with adult women navigating anxiety, depression, perfectionism, college, careers, relationships, boundary setting, and goals.

facilitated group supports
Connecting with others experiencing similar seasons of life can build community, offer perspective, and become an integrative part of your emotional wellness journey. Facilitated group events may include birth story healing sessions, pre-and postpartum yoga, meditation and journaling guidance, and coping skills series. Facilitated groups are not therapy but are complementary to any therapeutic process. Participants are not required to engage in therapy with Sweet Orange to attend. Find Group Events here.
**While I specialize in working with women and those in the parenting phases of life, I support any adults experiencing issues of anxiety, depression, perfectionism and/or life transitions who are motivated for change but may not know how to start. I am an LGBTQAI affirming provider and welcome individuals of any identify, gender, sexual orientation, race, religion and belief.

LCSW Supervision
Are you a social worker in Colorado working on your LCSW licensure hours or are in need of professional supervision or consultation opportunities? Are you finding the supervision you receive from your current employer is inadequate or non-existent? I bring over 12 years of post-master’s social work experience and offer supervision services within many specialties including: Perinatal and Maternal Mental Health, Medical/Hospital Social Work, Child Welfare and Child Protective Services, Individual Therapy for Adults, and the transition to successful Private Practice work. Learn more here.
** I am careful not to create dual relationships. I do not provide supervision to professionals also engaged with me in therapy and I cannot provide therapy to anyone with which I have a prior working or personal relationship. I am always happy to refer out to capable therapists in the community if needed.
In studies on the benefits of aromatherapy, Sweet Orange oil has been shown to enhance positive mood and reduce anxiety, even in time of enhanced stress, such as labor and delivery. Just the day to day activity of peeling an orange releases the mood improving scent.
At Sweet Orange Therapy Services, I incorporate cognitive-behavioral and motivational interviewing approaches while supporting you in identifying and integrating positive coping rituals for tangible benefit to support your whole person therapy journey. This may look like enhancement of talk therapy with opportunities for breathwork, movement, meditation, community resources, or simply peeling a daily orange. We will develop an individualized plan for building your coping capacity and self-care outside of therapy sessions that is tailored to what works for you.
