Hi, I’m Megan dinnebeil, lcsw, pmh-c (she/her)

Welcome, I’m so glad you’re here.

My name is Megan Dinnebeil and I am the therapist and owner of Sweet Orange Therapy Services. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Certification in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International. I provide teletherapy services in Colorado to adults, primarily women and birthing persons, experiencing a variety of life transitions and challenges, particularly the perinatal period and all stages of motherhood and parenting. Whatever you are experiencing, whatever your goals are, therapy can make all the difference.

Therapy can be an essential piece of a coping arsenal and can empower you to meet your goals and nurture your true self. With a background in social work, I bring a wealth of community resources, individual and systemic perspectives, and holistic focus on the whole self. While you determine the direction of therapy, I will offer you support without judgement and opportunities to challenge unhelpful thought patterns, increase positive coping, set boundaries that honor your needs, release trauma in the mind and body, and build in tangible balance, healing and contentment in your life.

Outside of my work, I love to spend time with my husband and two darling daughters. We are living all things elementary school and this phase of life is so busy, so loud, and so fun. It is a part of my practice to take time each day for breath work and movement, especially yoga and barre. I enjoy reading fiction, though, as a working parent of two, that often means reading with my ears, but nothing is better than a novel in my lap. My eldest daughter and I are currently learning to crochet and I love this new skill and space for present connection. My youngest is into coloring and painting and similarly I am soaking up these opportunities for connecting with her amidst the busy schedules of play dates, playgrounds, bike rides, sports and school events. When the calm moments at home pass, we can often be found having a music blasting dance party in the living room.

I am passionate about art. Observing, experiencing, making. Like, thick paint on the canvass, art. In my earlier life, I was a painter by hobby, and I look forward to doing more of that in future phases of life that have more space. My husband and I enjoy seeing live music and listening to records at home. Luckily, I married a connoisseur of obscure bands that feed my need for musical catharsis with very little effort from me. While I am a homebody at heart, we love taking trips near and far and exploring the world together, particularly anywhere we can watch some waves roll in. We are blessed to have much of our extended families nearby and get to spend time with them often.

I bring 13 years of post-masters experience primarily working with pregnant, postpartum and parenting women and birthing persons living with HIV in an outpatient setting providing mental health assessment and ongoing psychosocial support. I also have worked with parents and families in the Child Welfare system, supported children with childhood trauma in a therapeutic setting providing TF-CBT, and worked with children who experienced abuse and neglect in a therapeutic preschool setting.
